How to Create Shutdown Shortcut for Windows 8 PC

Steps
1. Click desktop tab on the start screen
2. Right click anywhere on the desktop, select New >> Shortcut
3. A dialogue box will appear.
Type the following charactersinto the box:
shutdown/s/t 0 or use shutdown -s -f -t 0 (as seen in the image below)
4. Click next after step 3. You can leave shortcut name as shutdown or you can change to something else like Power off PC.
You now have a shutdown shortcut on you Windows 8 PC. Whenever you click on the shortcut, you PC will immediately shutdown.
